This Cookie Policy explains how Worklayer, Inc. (“Worklayer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the worklayer.ai website and any other website that we own or control and which posts or links to this Cookie Policy (collectively, the “Sites”). It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share personal information; Section 3 there covers the same ground in its legal context.
In short: we do not track you. There is no advertising, no analytics, no marketing pixel, and no tag manager on the Sites. What remains is a short list of strictly necessary items that make the Sites work and remember your own choices, and exactly one optional third-party service, the Calendly scheduler on our demo page, which does not load at all unless you allow it.
The Worklayer platform at app.worklayer.ai is a separate, logged-in product. It sets only the strictly necessary first-party cookies needed to keep you signed in securely, which are described in Section 3 of the Privacy Policy; this Cookie Policy applies to the public Sites.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies serve different purposes, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and, on many websites, helping their operators understand how the site is being used.
Websites may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer or mobile device until they expire or you delete them). There are also two broad categories of cookies: (1) first-party cookies, served directly by the website you are visiting to your computer or mobile device; and (2) third-party cookies, which are served by service providers or business partners on a website and can be used by those parties to recognize your computer or mobile device when it visits other websites. Third-party cookies are commonly used for site analytics, advertising, and social media features. On the Sites, the only third-party cookies are those set by Calendly inside its scheduling widget, and only after you allow it (see Section 2).
2. What types of cookies and similar technologies do we use on the Sites?
We group technologies by purpose rather than only listing individual cookie names, because a purpose is something you can actually make a decision about. The Sites use the categories described in the table below.

3. Other technologies
Browser web storage. In addition to cookies, the Sites use browser web storage (HTML5 local storage) for the two essential items described above: the c15t consent entry and the starlight-theme preference. Browser web storage can hold more data than a cookie but serves the same purpose here, remembering your own choices. Your web browser provides functionality to clear its web storage; see Section 5.
Web beacons and pixel tags. We do not use web beacons, pixel tags, or clear GIFs on the Sites.
Session-replay technologies. We do not use session-replay technologies on the Sites. On the Worklayer platform, our error-monitoring provider captures replays of sessions in which a technical error occurred so that we can diagnose defects; content is masked before it leaves your browser, and these replays are described in the Privacy Policy.
Mobile application SDKs. We do not offer a mobile application, and the Sites do not use mobile software development kits.
If you select a workflow on the demo page, that choice is included in the Calendly booking link when you load the scheduler or open the direct link. It helps us prepare your demo and does not add a Website cookie or tracking script.
4. Records of your consent
We use c15t, an open-source consent manager, to ask for and store your choice. Data protection law requires us to be able to demonstrate that consent was given (Art. 7(1) GDPR). Your decision is therefore also recorded by our consent backend, operated by Inth (the maintainers of c15t), acting as our processor under a data processing agreement. That record covers the fact and time of the decision and the categories chosen, not your identity.
5. Your choices
Your options for controlling what information cookies and similar technologies collect about you include:
- Cookie banner and Cookie preferences. Where the law requires opt-in consent (the EU/EEA, the UK, and other jurisdictions with equivalent rules), a banner appears on your first visit, and nothing optional loads before you answer it. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy: both are a single click, side by side, and closing or ignoring the banner is never treated as agreement. Strictly necessary items do not require your consent. For the other category, you can accept all, reject all, or choose the categories you prefer. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, with effect for the future, using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page; it reopens the same dialog you saw in the banner, saving a change applies immediately, and withdrawing consent for Functionality unloads the Calendly widget rather than merely hiding it.
- Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies and clear site data, including web storage; follow the instructions in your browser settings. For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org. Note that clearing the strictly necessary items also erases the record of your consent choice, so the banner will ask again on your next visit, and that your theme preference will reset.
- Third-party controls. Calendly’s own cookie practices and controls are described in its help article linked in Section 2. Because we use no advertising or analytics cookies, no industry opt-out tool is needed for the Sites.
- Do Not Track. Some browsers can send “Do Not Track” signals to the websites you visit. The Sites do not respond to these signals, which have no agreed meaning across browsers; the technologies we actually use are the ones listed above, and the banner and the Cookie preferences link are the controls that apply.
You will need to apply your browser settings on each device and browser you use. Your consent choice in our banner is likewise stored per browser.

6. Legal bases
In Europe, our legal basis for anything non-essential is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25(1) TDDDG). For the strictly necessary items, we rely on § 25(2) TDDDG and our legitimate interest in a functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For keeping a record of your consent decision, we rely on our legal accountability obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).
7. Changes
Information about the cookies and similar technologies we use may be updated from time to time, for example if we add or remove a technology, so please check back on a regular basis for any changes. When we make a change, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. A change that introduces a new purpose will be put to you through the consent banner before it takes effect.
